  • Spirit of Hospitality head Rudy Guo and Canada's Guiness World Book of Records Oyster shucker, Patrick McMurray ask Sizzling to help launch the "Shucker Paddy" March, 2011 in Toronto; the new, ergonomic oyster shucking knife McMurray designed and that Guo had manufactured in China.
  • Mary Luz is asked to judge the Nickel City Chef's Challenge for the second time in Buffalo. She'll be there late Feburary, 2011!
  • Mary Luz is selected to attend the Cayman Cookout this year by Canadian culinary bright light Susur Lee. She is honoured to have been chosen and even surprised herself by being a guest judge for the Top Chef "Just Desserts" contest there.
  • Sizzling Communications is tapped to work with Canadian Celebrity Chef Christine Cushing on the launch of her new, organic Greek Olive Oil. Opa!
  • Fred's Bread is turning 15 Years Young 2010- expect to hear more about them this fall!
  • Mary Luz contribues a tasty bite to chocolate expert Maricel Presilla's revised book, "The New Taste of Chocolate." She's delighted to learn, it made it in (pg. 234!)
  • Mary Luz and Mario head off to San Francisco, CA for a fun-filled week of eating after ML is deemed a "Toronto Influencer" by They flew Virgin America to the Bay City where they met Tyler Florence, Bruce Hill, Tartine's Chad Robertson and roamed Sonoma. Blogs and articles to follow.
  • The Harbourfront Centre asks Mary Luz to curate one of their "10 Tastes to Try Before You Die" Presentations during their Summer 2010 Hot & Spicy Festival. The result? An Indo-Mex Flan with cardamom and Rasmalai Milk. ML hosts and presents the cooking demo.

  • Christa Glennie Seychew, founder of Feed Your Soul Productions and Buffalo's Nickel City Chef interviews ML for season II's competition held in Buffalo, NY Summer 2010. ML was one of the judges - she eats well!
