  • Reel Eats- Mary Luz Mejia and Mario Stojanac are the creators behind this monthly gastronomic, film and story-telling event that brings together Toronto’s finest chefs, raconteurs, and food-lovers on one gloriously delicious night. Together with co-conspirators Chef Vanessa Yeung, her husband Domenic Ubaldino and writer/poet and cook Sang Kim, they curate delicious evenings that engage all of the senses for hungry Torontonians everywhere!

  • Stirling Creamery- Makers of one of the world's Top 30 Butters according to Saveur Magazine selects Sizzling Communications to write directed copy for foodservice, their new/revamped website and to create buzz through a butter event at Rubywatchco in Toronto in March 2012. National media coverage already started through targeted releases in February.

  • Pimenton Spanish and Mediterranean Fine Foods- Targeted media approach to garner buzz on Social Media through food lovers, bloggers and chefs. Owner/Chef Jose Arato holds a media-only Paella 101 cooking class and nets a dozen posts and new clients.

  • Christine Cushing - Canadian celebrity Chef Christine Cushing selects Sizzling Communications to launch her new, USDA certified organic Greek Olive oil in Canada. We also launched her "Fired Up" red pepper condiment with a naming contest amongst the food community. National coverage.

  • Stratford Chef School- School founder Eleanor Kane approaches us to work with the school to spread the word about their 2011 and 2012 Celebrity Chefs in Residence guests- Chef Pilar Cabrera Arroyo from Mexico and France's Michelin-star rated Alexandre Gauthier in 2011.  Paolo Lopriore from Sienna, Italy and Emily Watkins from the UK in 2012. Fabulous social media and national coverage.

  • Bloom Restaurant - Relaunch of Bloom Restaurant in High Park with Cuban-born Chef Pedro Quintanilla with a media-only dinner featuring Latin American inspired dishes. Chef's Cuban pork recipe garners city-wide media hits. Restaurant now revitalized.

  • Spirt China's Rudy Guo and Patrick McMurray- launch a new, ergonomic oyster shucking knife and oyster gear in Toronto. Sizzling Communications is there to help execute the launch and to showcase the two men's love of their favourite bivalve.

  • Fred's Bread- Celebrates 15 years in 2010 and chooses Sizzling Communications to mark that anniversary with a Barn Luncheon and a new website. National coverage.

  • The Olivar Corp Inc. - In conjunction with olive oil expert Dolores Smith, Sizzling Communications created a two-pronged approach to launch a premiere line of Spanish Extra Virgin Olive oils in Toronto. This included a tapas night and olive oil tasting at Pimenton and a 6 course Spanish meal- each dish prepared using a different olive oil on the eve of April's Full Moon (in homage to Full Moon Olive Oil- the jewel in the Olivar Corp Inc's crown). Successful multi-media pick up.

  • Upper Canada Cheese Company- Worked with the team at UCCCo. to launch a brand new cheese: Guersney Girl. Sizzling Communications crafted a unique online voting recipe campaign involving some of the region's best chefs to get the word out amongst chefs and cooks as well as the buying public culminating in a live recipe cook-off with the top three voted chefs. Jason Bangerter of Auberge du Pommier won- event held at the Cheese Boutique. Successful media and end-user launch.

  • Hall's Kitchen- Mini campaign to create a buzz about Hall's Kitchen's healthy, delicious vegan soups. Aimed at online writers and bloggers, most of whom suggested "add-ins" to customize the soup to their own preferences.

  • Arvinda's Artisanal Spice Blends and Healthy Gourmet Indian Cooking School- Created a comprehensive Winter 2009/2010 Campaign including the Merry Masala Cookie Exchange to highlight spices in a new light. Garnered National media response online, in national newspapers, and on TV.

  • Aprhodite Cooks and Chef Vanessa Yeung- Worked with the talented young Chef Yeung, our own Dim Sum expert in helping raise her profile as well as her Singles and Couples Supper Club cooking classes. Crafted a Year of the Tiger/Chinese New Year Campaign (including a special dumpling for the occasion) for Chef Yeung and highlighted her supper club classes with national exposure.

  • Cookin' Greens for the Toby Brand:  Sizzling Communications generated recipe ideation, press releases and web site content and research for client. In 2012, we were again hired to get moms inspired to try greens with a contest we developed called "Green With Envy." Great recipes created and greens tried by moms across Canada.

  • For Chef Pilar Cabrera Arroyo, we organized a three-week, multi-venue promotional cooking/teaching tour throughout some of Toronto’s best eateries by one of Mexico’s best chefs. Sizzling Communications received acclaim in the Toronto Star (twice) for organizing the Sold Out events, which was also featured in Good Food Revelation and most other online publications in the area.

  • OLA: Of Latin America Dining Experience - we created and organized Toronto’s first, seven-course celebration of Latin American food with proceeds benefiting Youth Link. Multi-media covereage ensued. 

  • The Oliver Ranch Company (page 1 and page 2)- we organized Canada’s first formal Beef Tasting event, provided media exposure and further opportunities for client.

  • Angela Tunner- The Renaissance Gourmet – Provided press release writing, website content and ideation support

  • Christine Cushing for “Fearless in the Kitchen”- Sizzling Communications ghost wrote all of the blog entries and articles on the VIVA Network Site (published Fall 09)

  • Crystyl Mo- Shanghai-based food writer- we set up her week-long, specialized itinerary to meet her various national media assignments.

  • Rudy Guo- Osteria Shanghai, Shanghai, China- we wrote launch publicity materials, biographies, website content.

  • CRFA Show 2008- Sizzling Communications worked with the Spirit of Hospitality team to deliver Canadian A-List chefs for two cooking stages over three days for Canada’s largest hospitality show.
